Proposed field trips

We had the in-town cousins with us for the day today, and as we were driving out to the apple orchard, we were privileged to hear this confidence, told to Naomi by her girl cousin:

A:  I’d like to see what the juvenile penitentiary is like. [Slight pause]  But I don’t want to do it the hard way – that would be to get arrested and have to go there.  [Pause for further reflection]  But if there were a field trip, I’d like to go.

I could just imagine myself sending out an email to the homeschool groups about that upcoming field trip…
